Oracle has announced that GloriaFood reaches end of life on 30 April 2027. If your restaurant runs on it, the question is no longer which product is better. It is what you move to, and whether the next one can be taken away from you the same way.

A POS, a branded app and online payments were sold on top. Oracle has since announced it reaches end of life on 30 April 2027, and points restaurants towards a different product.

GloriaFood was free because somebody else owned it. That was always the trade, and it worked for years — until the owner decided it ends. Nothing a restaurant did caused that, and nothing a restaurant can do will change it. Foodify is the opposite arrangement: the code runs on your server, your menu sits in your database, and no announcement from anybody can turn it off.
Moving is also a chance to close the gaps GloriaFood left open. Its POS and online payments were extras you paid for, and its kitchen side did not exist at all. Foodify ships the whole floor in one system — counter POS with split payments, kitchen tickets routed to the right station, a kitchen screen, an order status display for customers, and 14 payment gateways.
This is the difference everything else follows from. You get the complete codebase and host it yourself, so nobody can raise your price, change your terms or switch your platform off. Subscription software never gives you this, whatever tier you are on.
